Hi there, I heard a rumour that there are pictures in one of the recent land rover magazines of the new defender. There is also a rumour that it will be available here in Canada in the next few years. Anyone hear the rumours or seen any of the pictures? Just curious, Arman |

There were some pictures on Land Rover Enthusiast of a concept car that was never completed. It looks a lot like you would expect a modern Defender to look like, more rounded. That all I have heard. |

I read on the Atalntic Britsh web site that Ford is commited to have Land Rover design all the models for the North American markets. I think it is about 3 -5 years down the road. |

What CJ said. I read the article.. just a concept. Ford put the Defender redesign on hold until at least 2005. The reason? One of their biggest customers, the MOD, said they were happy with it as is. I'm hoping the redesign modernizes, and minmizes. Eventually bringing to N.A. a Wrangler-fighter with serious off-road ability and the small (4cyl.) Ford Powerstroke diesel as an option. |
