There is also a rumour that it will be available here in Canada in the next few years. Anyone hear the rumours or seen any of the pictures? It looks a lot like you would expect a modern Defender to look like, more rounded. Ford put the Defender redesign on hold until at least 2005. The reason? One of their biggest customers, the MOD, said they were happy with it as is. I'm hoping the redesign modernizes, and minmizes. Eventually bringing to N.A. a Wrangler-fighter with serious off-road ability and the small (4cyl.) Ford Powerstroke diesel as an option.
