Anybody have any advice on shipping large parts like bumpers and brushguards? I am told that UPS will not take anything that big, and am not quite sure where to turn to get it done at a reasonable cost.

Let me know.

I've shipped a D90 brush bar, a RR air dam, a RR bumper, etc using UPS to different parts of the country without a problem. The key is to keep the box as small as possible. I think 60" was the widest you can send...

One more thing, I was going to send a Jeep fiberglass hardtop via Yellowfreight but they erquired that the top be in a wooden crate.

Hope this helps and good luck.

sent a front bumper via UPS. just dropped it off at one of their centers. wrapped it up in bubble wrap and tape. only cost about $20 or so to ship.

I just sent out a front air dam and bumper for free! The City of Scottdale recycling truck picked it up this morning...

Check out www.forwardair.com for the items UPS won't take. Requires airport access for both parties, but their rates are reasonable and quick service.

You can also send large items via Greyhound for fairly reasonable prices. I had a factory brushbar shipped to me via Greyhound for less than $70 dollars. The person who sent it to me wrapped it in bubble wrap and took it to his local station. It showed up at my station in 3 days... (it's for sale in the classified section... wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
