I've gone thru the archives on extended warranties,but none of them have discussed the purchase of an extended warranty at the time of purchase of a new vehicle. A car dealer (not LR) told me to decline purchasing the LR extended warranty at the dealer and wait til LRNA sends me a mailer to purchase the same at a discounted price. Has this occurred to anyone? If it did, I'm waiting for the mailman.

We purchaced ours on our Freelander at the time of sale for considerbly less than that what the rates are for if you wait until the end of your warranty and then buy it.

What I meant was that LRNA would contact the new owner in a coupla months after purchase wth the ext. warr. offer. I don't know if it's true or not. Can anyone confirm?
