Hello, I can't get my '94 D1 to the low range. I tried wrenching on it from the top and bottom but it seems stuck or blocked. The CDL works fine in high. Any ideas before I start digging in? Thanks, Blake |

Climb under and spray the crap out of the linkage with WD40 or something similar. I bought a used 94 that had never been in low range and it was stuck. After I got it loosened-up I used spray lithium grease and have not had any more problems. |

Also check oil level in transfer case? Sounds like the linkages are moving if you can engage CDL. Anyway like Charles advises, make sure everything is lubed with WD - maybe even hit it a couple of times over several days. It's not unusual for things that are totally bound up to loosen up over time if you hit them with WD repeatedly. |

On King of the Hill today the cap to Hank's can of WD-40 was stuck so he pulled out a smaller can from some sort of holster on his belt and sprayed the cap of the big one so it would open. |
