Right now I've got OME N76s in the rear of my DI and while I like the extra articulation they offer, they're a little too soft for my liking. I was hoping someone may have some experience with/recommendations for other "longer" travel shocks as a replacement. I've always liked Bilsteins and I'm not a fan of Ranchos, but I'm open to hear any suggestions... |

What kind of length are you lookin for? something like 12 inch? or what? Ive got 12inch eyelet-eyelet ranchos on all 4 corners of my truck, but the ranchos are pretty poor shocks, and im not happy with them at all. If you have the money, i say go with a bilstein 7100 series shock (which is about 160-200 $ per shock at most shops) |

Check out Expedition Exchange. They have a DIY fix to add a few more inches to rear articulation |

Chip, On EE, they show how to extend a shock that uses the stock lower mount (a post-type mount). The N76 shock is an eyelet mount, so it can't be lengthened in the same manner. Also, Ned wanted a stiffer shock, so lengthening his current shock (even though he cant) would not do him any good as far as stiffness goes. Will Roeder |

Ned, (seems I am writing myself, since my knick-name is Ned - short for Nadim) I have the same shock in the rear. I know that they are a wee bit more soft than they should be, however, coupled with some weight, and the 762 progressive springs, they are a charm. Ho Chung also suggested to me to use similarly softer shocks up front, thereby having a nice, soft set-up...(like the 764 springs and the N70 up front) |
