The reason I ask is that it gets stuck whenever it's used. Open up the door and the track at the bottom of the window that the arms from the regulator scissor back and forth in has pieces from the little white plastic bushing on one of the arms. I can get the window in the full up position and I disconnected the window switch. Will this cause any problems? Also, The closest LR dealer says ~$99 for the regulator because the whole unit has to be replaced. Do you agree? Or is there a lower cost solution? Thanks, Kit |

I disconected all of my switches and took out all of the cosmetic interior pieces as they actually cause me to get stuck more in the mud. I have also pulled all of the leather and cushions off the seat since none of that stuff is needed on a truck that was designed for hardcore off-road only driving. Anything for comfort or convenience is plain stupid. |

I reversed the window switches when I first bought my Disco...I hated the back switches being the front windows and the most forward switches being the back windows and I would always drive up to a drive-thru or something and lower the back window. I guess they put them on the [top]back because it could be easy to reach without moving your arm off the console to push them but in my head front is front and rear is rear. Maybe I'm just strange. |

No! that makes perfect sense. Thanks for sharing, I'm going to do that right now. I don't know how often I go to roll down the window and the back window goes down. Aaarghh! Thanks, Kit |

That is what I will do first thing in the morning. My passengers have a very, very hard time with the stock window control positions. 100% of the time, front passengers roll those back windows down. Speaking of rear windows, anyone know the diameter of that little window regulator wheel that rides along the track. Mine is broken, but the motor still makes noise. The large geared arm isn't moving - is that right? e |

if its broke, fix it.just buy the part and fix it.one thing, then another, then another, then your truck is a pos.also,it may be aginst state vehicle saftey inspection laws to disconnect the window.a ticket could cost more than the part, then it would still need repair.oh well,my 2c fwiw. |
