I have a 99 disco 2 with the HK 330w audio system. I got a sony xs 12inch sub to replace the 2 long throw subs in the back door(didn't like the low end response from them). I thought that the 40w going to each speaker(old subs) would be good for the 12inch sub, but its not enough to really push the new sub. so now I'm looking into getting a new amp with built in crossover. I was looking at my amp(the hk) and like I thought it has a weird wiring harness. so does this mean I have to rewire all my speakers to use a new amp or is there another way? I'm installing my sub in replace of the driver side(NAS)storage box in the rear. what panels do I need to take off to get the speaker wire moved from the back door to the storage box? or where do the speaker wires run if not in the side or ceiling panels? thank you in advance beau |
