I drive a 97' RR and I was wondering what you can do to raise the gas milage in it. Do the ECU chips raise milage or power, or both? K&N? What is this thing called the tornado that everyone is speaking of?

I am also looking at upgrading my lights to Xenon systems. What do you all think?

Thanks,

Colin

As far as I know the ECU chips raise power and preformance, but probably hinder gas milage over all. K&N air filter I hear helps a little bit from a friend who uses one on his Disco. The tornado may or may not be a piece of shit I don't know. Xenon is good.

ECU chip + K&N + Tornado = better mileage

I'd use all three, because the Xenon headlight systems produce so much power at the speed of light, your vehicle is going to need the extra mileage benefit to offset the negative effect of the lights.

Chip, K&N, Tornado and Xenon lights...you should break about even.

Financially, playing with Rovers is like gambling.

You're gonna be losing money, but the strategy is to minimize your losses :)

I have seen many try this trick and fail. The RR in 2002 was rated the least fuel efficent vehicle being sold.
Good luck

If you'd like to at least double your mileage and range install a 300 TDI. Other than that there isn't much you can do except alter your driving habits. Tornado? Come ON! Don't even go there . . . . Oh, by the way, is that a 4.6? I'll help you pull it--AND I'll haul it away for free!!!
