I've been Eyeing Discos for years now and prowling this site. I know its anti Ebay feelings, but I think that I've found a good deal. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6294&item=2401309479&rd=1

Could you offer some input on this vehicle. One more question. Is there anybody in the Boston area that could either swing by and eyeball this for me or that might know of someone that I could hire to do so? Thanks very very much. I hope to make my disco dream a reality very soon and say goodbye to my Jeep.

I saw that one too while looking for adventure racks. 75K miles on a 2000 seems high to me. I would imagine with 21 bids and 2 days to go, that D2 will go way up in price. Just my .02, but I would find one with less miles.

If your in Boston, check out:

John Robison is in Springfield, MA and is very knowlegable about LR's. He brokered my 99 D2 for me. A photo of my rig is still up on his site. He gets lease turn in rigs from LR.

I used his custom car finder service.

That's a nice rover. The miles are a little high for the year. Also there a couple of days left on the auction; the ending bid will be over $20 grand and probly around 22-23. worth watching though.

Thanks for the input. I plan to watch the sale. To me the high milage says that it saw more highway than off-road miles. Any thoughts on this? I'm leary of buying sight unseen.
