I am looking into getting a winch bumper for my Disco 2. Has anyone on this website ever made their own bumper? (Reason why I ask is that my grandfather is a master welder and has made replacement bumpers for other trucks.) Are there any suggestions for places to find plans for a replacement winch bumper. Are there any accessoeries should I put on the bumper, (D-Rings for towing winch fairlead). What are your suggestions? |

Yes, it can be done. But I don't know of anyone giving plans away. Take a look at my gallery, and then e-mail me. I'll help as much as I can, but it was a one-off and I didn't make drawings as I went because I had no intentions of reproducing them like I do my rear bumpers. |

What I am most looking for are suggestions to put or not put on the bumper through other peoples personal experience. All that I am really going to do is to make a relitively simple bumper that I can mount my winch on with enough room to add the brush guard I already have. I was just asking for ideas. |

Check Greg Davis's thread. Coolest bumper I have seen yet. Very low profile. |
