Has anyone installed the dash repair kit in their DI? I saw one for sale on rover connection for $60 and looks like it would be tough to get a screw gun in there between the windshield and the front of the dash.

thanks in advance

There are a few adjustable angle head screw guns out there now, for pretty cheap. Dealership put mine on, so not exactly sure what they used. You can also get a right angle phillips head screw driver.

Find a friend with a right-angle drill to pre-drill pilot holes. Or heat the appropriate size nail red hot with a torch (hold it with vice grips) and melt a hole (I had to do that for the far right side and the two far left). My screws were torx head, so I used the allen-wrench style of torx wrench. Glad I did it - the dash looks so much better now.

i just installed mine last week. i've got a right angle drill, and it still puts you in a bind once you get to those dreaded corners. i went to lowe's and picked up a flex hose adapter for 10 or 11 bucks that worked perfectly. it's made by porter cable, and you'll find it in the drill bit accessories. be sure and get a buddy to help you. you'll need an extra set of hands to hold the warping dash down while you drill it and secure it. i also had to shave about a half inch or so off of one of the pieces to get them to butt up in the middle. looks great when you're finished. be careful of that flex hose if you're pushing it with anything more than 14.4v; it'll bite you. :)

I know what the warped dash looks like,(I have one myself), can anyone who's installed the repair kit post a picture of the finished product?
Does it really look that good?

Did LR fix this flaw? If so, what years are affected?
