I want to see a picture of a Disco1 with 265/75-16 tires.

I would also like to know what sort of cutting/adjustments go with that size.

Thanks

the best way to see this is to hit the gallery button and start going thru the pics , many guys have a list of the mods including tire sizes

I am searching through the gallery, but there are millions of pics. I just figured somebody could direct me to a good picture.

I already have cut it for 245/75's, How much additional is needed.

possibly a good bit more, a lot of it is going to depend on how much your springs have sagged and exactly what tires you wind up getting.

I have the 265/75 Pirelli AT's. I have the ome xhd springs and I didn't cut at all; just relocated the rear fender. There are some pics on my gallery.

I'm running BFG AT 265/75/16's on my 96 disco. I have a 2 inch suspension lift. No cutting or trimming required but the drive angles and steering components took a bit of finessing. I have aftermarket bumpers on the front and rear so I'm not sure if they would fit the stock bumpers. I'll email you pics.

Look up my gallery (Scott Bowden). The photos of the all-terrains are 265/75/16. The muds are 255/85/16.
OME HD front/MD rear with 15/20mm of spring packers. The lift is the same for both tire sizes. The axle was moved back about 3/8" for the 265/75/16 and a total of about 1" for the 255/85/16. I did trim the rear fenders a little bit.

I have a question for you guys running 265/75s w/ no trimming. Have you flexed to the point of hitting your bump stops yet and still had no rubbing? Just curious because I am running 235/85s on the AR steel rims w/ 1 inch wider offset, according to my calculations this should but me in the same league as 265s as far as "sticking out" is concerned and I had to do quite a bit of trimming even with Kyle's spacing technique. I have a 2 inch rovertym lift which is dead on (actually a hair higher) I know it varies from truck to truck but I had to trim quite a bit. This is a serious question, not a flame and I do not intend to sound the least bit condescending.

Thanks guys

carter,

235 with 1" wider offset would be a little farther out then stock offset and 265 I would think?

265 is 30mm wider but only half would go out the other half would go in.

your 1" moves yours out 25.3mm

DOH!!!!!

I'm a dumb-shit, I forgot to divide the extra width of the 265 by half. Thats what you get when you major in politics, marginal math skills. :)

Another thing to consider is the type of rear suspension setup you have when trying to figure out trimming needs. Keep in mind that if you have extra long travel rear shocks you will need to trim more than normal. As the one side drops away from the body, the other side travels in an arc up and out.

Conclusion: super flexy suspension will require more trimming or fender relocation.
