Anyone ever really experiance trouble with pinon angle and ring and pinon gearing running 33" tires. I have run close to 32" tires and couldn't imagine that 33's would affect the rpms much more then they did. I am running the regular 3.54 ring and pinon.

I run 34" Swampers, live at 7500 feet(elevation), and still run 3.54 ring and pinion. My truck is still a daily driver, but that's just a few miles per day on pavement. Pulling grades is a chore at elevation. I am debating a ring and pinion swap, or regearing my LT230 transfer case. I have no trouble with the rear pinion angle, but with 5" of suspension lift, I will be going to a double cardan front driveshaft in the near future.

Kevin,

Do you have pics of your setup? I'm running 34s as well on RTE 3" HD springs. Just wondering what you've done...

I have some posted here with 3" RTE springs, which I got a true 3.5" lift from. I just made 1.5" aluminum spacers recently, so I'll have to take some photos. I installed RTE extended brake lines at the same time. Most other work is modifying all of the bushings (radius arms and trailing arms). This is trial and error, but I have about as much travel up front as a three link. I make rear retainers, and get tons of rear travel. I'll take some photos soon, and e-mail them to you.
