Hi All, I noticed a slight to moderate rattling (resonating) of the exhaust pipe from the center/rear (at first thought it might have been a Cat). If I hold onto the very rear of tail pipe and move it (when cool of course), there is quite a bit of "play" in it, with movement going on a 45 degree angle. One thing I noticed is some of this play is from the rear hanger area and the of place there is play os where the exhaust pipe enters the center muffler? (not the rear one. The rear rubber hanger does seem to be warn so I thought I might try replacing it first (then maybe the center rubber hanger) to see if I can remove some of the play. From what I have read dropping the whole exahst system is first done from the front, then rear. ** My question is, if I am just going to change the rear rubber hanger, can I do this by not dropping the whole exhaust and just lowering the rear by removing the rear rubber hanger bracket and exchange out the rear rubber hanger? How about the center one....can this be replaced also by just lowering the rear of the exhaust? Thanks for any help you can provide. |
