I was just wondering - has anybody tried to take a DI body and chassis and running gear and put it on a DII? What would it cost? I am in a dilema over it. Also what tools would I need. Thanks for your anticipated helpful hints. Cheers Scott-OZ |

I'm not sure ...ask Carter then again if you took a D1 body, chassis ,and running gear and put it on a D2 it would cost you the D2 and the tool you'd need would be a wrecker to lift it back off |

I am convinced that I can do it - I have a DI and a DII - what I am thinking is that if I paint the DII the colour of the DI, and paint the D1 the former colour of the DII, then swap them in their garage positions under the cover of darkness I might have realised my dream. S |

I dream of putting a D2 body(with the 4.6L of course) on a forward control frame and drivetrain. That would be badass!!! -Chris |

I am sure many have tried that already, and even more people than have tried have failed. I imagine one guy doing that. Everyone laughed at him because they thought he had failed miserably. They said "look in your garage, you still have a DI and DII, how have you succeeded?", but I say, go for it, just make sure you have impressive amounts of alcohol around for the onlookers. |
