Hi All,

I had a previous post regarding the Exhaust system on my 95 RR Classic (LWB), but now that I've taken a closer look at the probem, I can explain it better and maybe someone can provide some suggestions.

The rear half of my exhaust has a fair amount of "play" in it (noticed it because of hearing the vibration and rattling). The problem is the area where the rear exhaust pipe (coming from the rear muffler) enters the approx. 8 inch metal sleeve thats connected to the middle muffler (the one held up with two exhaust hangers). There is a clamp with two boltheads that is connected to this sleeve that apparently is responsible for tightning around the pipe (which is a smaller diameter than the sleeve) coming down from the rear muffler.

Before I tighten this clamp (that has two boltheads), I wanted to ask others if this is the proper way to tighten what I described? I don't want to end up doing more damage and crushing this rear exhaust pipe. Is this is what that clamp is for (tightening this juncture?). Any help would be appreciated!

(By the way, Is this clamp part of the original Land Rover two piece exhaust system or does it sound like "aftermarket?)
