All, I have a 95 disco. When I drive it, on occasion I smell what seems to be sulfer or burning eggs from the engine and exhaust. Does anyone know what this is? Also I am hearing an obnoxious squeeking noise from the rear drivers wheel. It squeeks when I am driving at almost any speed and gets louder when I apply the brakes lightly, but if I push harder on the brakes the noise goes away. Any suggestions? |

Smell could be the cats going bad... The squeeking noise could be a stuck caliper piston.... They do sell rebuild kits that include pistons and new seals... It could also be that your pads are worn... Check the pads first....take only a few minutes... Good luck, John |

i've got the same smell problem on my '94. really stinks when you put it in park and step out of the truck, huh? so, other than the smell, what's the damage of our cats going bad? i've got a list of things to do, and i would like to prioritize this one down near the bottom. |

Squeaking noise.....egg-sulfur smell....Hmmm. That happens to me sometimes, too. What did you have for lunch? |
