Hello I have a 1996 discovery. I was wondering about rims. I heard that the 18 inch rims off the newer ones dont fit, and the 19s of the 2003s dont fit. I want a really big rim to put on there but I cant seem to find a place that makes them? I want the biggest rim possible and spoked maybe. Does anybody have any input on the situation? Janis |

I've seen crazy rims on the D1 before, but I'm tellin' ya that you've come to the wrong place for that kind of advice. We can't talk you into 15" steel wheels can we? |

haha No, no I have the regular rims for offroading, which I do do alot. I currently have 245 75 16s on there and they do rub. But when they keep rubing it wears down the wear points and its not as bad. But I am not interested in the steel wheels. Where I might find these so called rims? And where might I see these crazy rims on a D1? Janis |

If I might, I would like to put steel rims on my 95 disco. Is there anything special about the steel rims from AB? I saw some black steel rims in a 16X7 size at pepboys for $41.00 and if you buy 4 you get 10%off the deal. Any comments/ suggestions would be appreciated. |

Jim, check to make sure they have the correct lug pattern (probably not though as it is not very common). Should be 5 on 6.5" |

British Pacific, Rovers North and Atlantic British carry NATO and Disco rims that will match the offset of you alloys. Gulf coast rovers carries American racing wheels that are offset more and less expensive (stick out at least an inch more than the rover offset). Doubt that any pep boys would have the right wheel. If you have time keep your eye on the classified section of thuis site and others and collect a matching set. |
