I am thinking of purchasing a catalytic converter from Summit Racing. The converter has Stainless tubing. My exhaust system is steel. I have access to a wire welder and I am just wondering is it possible to weld the two metals together with a wire welder? I really do not want to use clamps.

I just had a summit cat welded on my second RR today. Worked fine.
