I just got a second hand Disc 97, I need to get some tools for it but don't know the size. Sorry if it's stupid question but don't have dealer around here.

If it's the same as a D2 then it's 27mm. Do you have the manual?

1 1/16" deep socket is the easiest to find. Size is actually a 27mm. Also, some kind of spray lubricant (WD-40, etc.). I would suggest applying an anti-seize compound on it before re-assembly and you may need a large pipe to put over wrench to help break the lugs loose. Search archives on lug or lug nuts.

The lug wrench should be with the roof rack crossbars under the rear seats. It most likely won't work to take them off though.

If you use it be VERY careful not to get any WD-40 or anti-sieze on the brakes

What will WD-40 do to the brakes?

Yeah, maybe WD-40 isn't oily enough to do anything but i wouldn't want to find out. DEFINITLY keep the anti sieze away tough

keep it simple....don't ever put anything on the brakes that won't evaporate. WD-40 evaporates in under a minute vs. brake cleaner which will in just a few seconds. Even though it does have some lubrication properties it won't be a problem... I wish it could fix my transfer case though :)
