This is an update of a previous post on my Jinxed Rover with a hole on the side of the block. Took apart my wrecking (junk) yard motor. It appears that #1 rod let go and acted like a weed eater. Sheared the block and cut the camshaft in half. It also broke a rocker when it pushed the #1 intake lifter up into the valley.

Going to take heads to machine shop to get the heads done. As I posted earlier, the guy from the wrecking yard gave me back my money (1200 dollars) for the motor. Thanks to Ron and discoweb, I got a new 4.0 short block for 1200 dollars. Just got word that the short block was in and on a truck from Penn to Calif. Valve job with new springs, guides and gaskets along with a cam should be about 5-600 dollars. Parts are coming from a variety of locations. Prices vary ALOT.. I figure, I'll be back on the road for about 2000 dollars.

I'll take pictures, can anyone show me how to post them..
