Found a store that has them for $ 50......but all they have are the 60".......I've always heard that you can't have too much jack (not sure if it applies to the "mechanical" jack or not) |

Bob, Definatly not too much jack. I've got a 48 and after a bit of lift and a few other mods the 48 will not even get my rear wheels off the ground. |

Bob, go with the 60", you will be happier I have the 60" (it was mounted to my roofrack on the gold disco 1 last weekend when we were on the Anderson Creek and Pig trails.) I use it all the time, and am often glad i have the 60 inch.... my .02 |

Got mine on the 'cb antena mounts' of my ARB bullbar, if you don't have a bull bar are roofrack to strap it to you are probablly SOL as anything longer than 48" is going to be damn near imposible to fit inside the truck safely straped down (unless you have the rear seats folded up). Heres a question though: I have an old 48 incher but am itching to upgrade to a 60 incher as I have had far to many times where it would have worked much better. Question is do you think highlift would sell me just the 60 bar?? Everything else should be able to swap over, it seems silly to pay for a whole new jack when all I need is that one part. I'll shoot them an email tomorow (if I can find it) but does anyone know if they sell the individual parts? |

Yea, im pretty sure they will. On the EE site, if you look at the hi lift page, there is a part that says something like " spare parts" and it lists just the 60 inch bar. maybe you could call John or Ho up and see if they will special order it for ya.... |

Bob, I would suggest taking the jacking part off and mount the 60" bar on the outside. This way, the big part (bar) is out of the way, yet the important part won't rust as fast and could possibly weaken to the point were it could fail (also it doesn't get all nasty etc). This also makes it weight less so you won't kill yourself if you are pulling it off a roof rack. FWIW.... Max T.
