Hey-

I was looking at Discos on LR's US site and I was reading through and it said:

"On SD models, rugged yet attractive "Duragrain" upholstery in Bahama Beige is standard. On LE models, the seats are covered in comfortable Pioneer cloth with Indiana Brown Leather bolsters. The SE models feature supple leather upholstery for front and middle passengers, with the optional rear jump seats covered in Duragrain. "

Now this is alright, but the LE model is not available in the US. Only SD and SE. Can anyone shed any light on this? Any pictures of the LE interior??

it was in 01.. but no longer. the "new" discos will have only 2 interiors, Alpaca Beige and Black. the LE interior is ugly.

Bahama Beige duragrain on SDs is the only choice, (unless you upgrade to leather). SEs get a choice between Bahama Beige, Lightstone (cream), and Smokestone (grey) leather. On Borrego edition Discoverys, interior is Black duragrain/cloth.

LE is not available in 2002. It was available in 2001. I really liked the LE interior. It was very European with chocolate leather and black stitching.

Alyssa,

I know you work for LR but I was told by the dealer in Hunt Valley that you can`t upgrade to leather in the SD anymore. Not that i`m saying your wrong but thats just what I was told.

jeff.. Im pretty sure she meant by upgrading to leather as going with the SE, as the duragrain is the only SD interior. and your right Alyssa, the LE interior really wasnt that ugly, I just could never get over the little blue spiglets scattered thru out the cloth..

The leather was available as an option on 2002 SD models, and it cost $750. We currently have 3 of these vehicles in stock, and had many more earlier in the year. They are an SD in every way, except they have leather seats, complete with armrests. You cannot order them this way anymore, but they exist.

And I just got confirmation of the changes for the 2003 models. As Gil said, Black and Alpaca Beige are the only interior choices, either color available in either duragrain or leather. All carpets will be black. The 4.6 engine will be standard (with 217 hp, due to the single exhaust). The NEW 2003 Range Rover headlights make an appearance on the Discovery, and reverse and turn signal lenses switch places in the rear. There may be a change in the roof rack. Models will be the S (equivalent to this year's SD), the SE, and the HSE (adding standard SLS and Harmon Kardon). The S and HSE models will get new wheels (the 18" HSE wheel is currently on Westminster Discoverys). The S will have a flat-spoke 16" wheel. The color choices on the S model have been seriously limited.

Jack, just go to the screen on the left with the headers, go to Utilities, then Edit Profile, then instant registration. Done - well, guess next step is actually to buy stickers and a Moab video :)
