what size tire should i go with on a stock rrc?. i was thinking of 235/16 or 750/16 but did not want to cut or lift the rover. i guess these tires will be mounted on steel rims as well. will steel rims from seris 2a fit?... thanks for any suggestions

So you want to go larger than the stock 205/80/16 but no lift? If you go to 235/85/16 you will hit fender in full articulation when offroad. Probably 225/75/16 would work for you.

the rims will fit but you may need to use an inner tube with them

245/75 will also fit without modifying the suspension.

and if you like narrow vs wide, 215/85-16 also should fit without any problems.

I'm just curious, how are your springs? Are they the originals or have you gone with new ones recently and if so what kind? If everything is stock and the springs haven't been changed I would be wary of going with anything much larger that 225/75.
As for wheels, I assume, when you say 2a, that you're talking about the old Dunlop 16x5.5 steelie. If so, I'd recommend the Disco slotted steelie or a set of Rostyles if you can find them. Much better room for the disc brakes, providing adequate ventilation.
Cheers
