Has anyone purchased a re-furbished CB from Uniden's website? If you have, were you satisfied with your purchase? I am looking into purchasing a CB and the re-furbished units sell for up to $100.00 less than new units. Plus, they come with a 90 day warranty. Thanks, Chris |

Hi Chris, I didn't buy a Uniden refurbished, but I did buy a Cobra 75WXST all-in-the-hand-piece cb refurbished. Looked brand new when I got it, and have had it installed in my truck for over a year now. Works great. Not sure if I was lucky, or if the thing will now break after I write this, but I would definitely purchase it this way again. Robbie |

Robbie and Scott, Thanks for your responses. A refurbished unit looks like a great way to go. Chris |

I'm not sue if it's true, but I've been told that most electronic companies that get products returned (not broken, just returned) check out the product and resell that as "refurbished" for a discount. I have bought a VCR and some home speakers from Sony and Cambridge Soundworks "refurbished" and have not had any problems. just my .02 Carl |

Check out www.bills2way.com. They are refurbished CB's and they are cheaper than what Uniden sells theirs for. My fiance just got a Uniden 520XL and 4ft Firestik 2 antenna kit for under $90. |
