Anybody out there with lights on your rack? How did you route the wiring? Through the roof & behind the headliner, through the door & behind the a-pillar trim?

Thanks for the help
Bob

I ran my wiring behind the A Pillar Fairing. But that thing is a prick to get back on. I have a small gap at the bottom where the seal meets the glass, but have not experienced any leakage or any other effects.

Everything you wanted to know.....

Plus if you do an archive search you can dig up some different websites and ideas that members have posted. Look to your left in in the BBS tree.

Have fun,

Bob, I did it right through the roof and under the headliner, down the interior pillar, etc... I like this way fine but if I had to do it again, I would have removed the factory rails and brought it through the front hole and plugged the rest.

I tried to bring it down the pillar on the exterior and I could not get it to work right and all the parts to fit right.

I agree with Paul. If you have a D2 with the outside A pillar, that is the place to run the wires. No sense in cutting more holes into the roof and taking an additional chance on leaks.
