While parking the other day, I was gifted with the smoke from what i believe to be the alarm system. There was quite a bit and it came out of the driver's side near the door. I immediately got out of the car and ran to the nearest bar for a beer. Along with the alarm, I am not having the courtesy lights dim when I close the door. They will only operate if I turn the switch to the 'ON' position. The rear wiper quit, too. I was having issues with the courtesy lights and the rear wiper, but the alarm was a new thing that day. It's been too cold to get into it this week, but it should warm up enough so i can remove the item and inspect it further. I did remove the access panel to the relays on the driver's side. They all looked good(no signs of burn). I checked most of the electrical plugs and the ground and they all look good. Has anyone else had similar problems with their alarm/ courtesy lights/ rear wiper? -eric |
