Does anyone know how to replace the transducer speed sensor? Where is it located and is it an easy operation? I am intermittently experiencing a brief hesitation or cut out of power when accelerating at highway speeds in my 97' Disco.

Thanks,
Nick

My Bad! I realize now that the transducer is also known as the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). I ordered one from Nathan @ Discountrovers.com and will install it this weekend. This is my first project! Many more to come.

Hi Nick,
When our VSS went faulty all that happened was that the speedo started working intermittently and then eventually died.
It had no effect on the performance of the vehicle.
I doubt if this is going to solve your problem.
