Well, I ordered and am returning a set of orvis seat covers. They looked pretty neat, and would offer good seat protection against the dog, but unfortunately they will not securely fit the seats in my Disco2 so they are going back to orvis.

Just thought I would share my experience.

I bought one of their Dog seat covers for my D1 and it is great. I love it. I think that when my water proof ones finaly die I'll just get another one for the drivers seat.

That's what I ordered. I couldn't find a way to make it attach to the seat as it is required to poke through the rear of the seat for the velcro bungies to attach. They looked to be well made, but after considering I would not be able to use the seatbelts with them on, or make them fit correctly, I sent them back this afternoon.

The price and brand are what drew me to them, but I guess I'll keep looking for some original ones on the used market.............

HINT, HINT, TO ANYONE SELLING USED DISCO2 SEAT COVERS IN BEIGE. :-)

Greg,

we looked at them during the tent sale in Manchester when passing through one time. didn't work in the RR either.

not sure if you'll like them or not, yet, wetoklie (think thats it) makes a nice set that we've used for a few years now. 2 Labs haven't destroyed them yet! they have done some damage to the LR Waterproofs in the RR though.

check them out.

Oh, that sucks that they don't fit right on your D2.

All I have to say is I hope they do a better job sewing their seat covers up than they do on their waders. I've seen 4 pairs come apart at the seams.

If it helps I bought a cheap universal cover at pep boys. It was made for a truck bench seat with head rests, so if I remember it was actually a front cover. I measured my d1's rear seat and bought by size. On sale for $30 it was advertized as a waterproof seat cover. Plan matte gray color doesn't match my biege interior, my 2 dogs don't seem to mind the miss match. But it fits the rear seat okay. Also after a year of hard use by my dogs it still looks like new. I was going to get a LR cover, but couldn't justify the price with two 65 lbs dogs that seem to find every mud puddle in Utah. Has holes for the seat belts and works fine, however my rear passengers tend to like there heads hanging out of the windows to drool :-)

It's a shame Rancho doesn't make seat covers.

If anyone is interested I have access to full sets and just fronts or backs made by TP from england. these are fully waterproof and are what i use on my truck (disco) I have had them for two years now and they are going strong. been used down in mainland mexico and baja for months at a time. used in mud, rain, snow...no leakage, no seems coming appart. Just want to pass on the info to everyone. if anyone is interested email me at bhutan2@msn.com...cheers
