I haven't heard of any trips planned to GWNF and was wondering if any one was heading out there any time? We should get a camping/wheeling trip together soon.

Yeah, I'm up for it. Ever been down to the trails around Lexington? I've heard they're a bit more challenging than those west of H'burg.

Depending on when it is I might be able to make it most likely for a day trip but, maybe camping.

Mike,
What trails are you talking about? I know there are some folks down there but have never heard of any decent trails. I would love to know about some new trails. It looks like there may be some more trails way the hell up 2nd Mtn trail. Not sure if you can get to them in one day. Maybe we should try the Madison trails? What happend to your transmission???

Well, I've given up on LR for a new AT under warranty. Owner care has been fairly worthless too. After finding metal shavings in the pan, they decided that for $1300, I could get a new AT installed (good will gesture). LRNA says my mods, specifically the CDL lever I installed, present just enough "doubt" as to void a full warranty claim. Overall, this is not a bad deal, but IMO, by contract, I should be getting a new AT under warranty. Instead I'm going with a used AT/t-case together from Will in Charlotte and I'll put it in myself here locally with Ben at the Service Center (Javor is gone).

By chance, Will is the one who told me about the trails down around the Lexington area, he says there are a couple of trails down that way that present a nice challenge. I'll be talking with him today about the AT, I'll try to find out more about the Lexington area.

You know, weather is supposed to be pretty nasty on Sun, maybe we should do a day trip, I think I might be free.

Mike, Sunday could be fun with the nasty weather. I wouldn't mind trying bald MTN jeep trail with 6-8 inches of snow.
