Thinking about trading my '94 defender in for a '02 Yellow Disco. I had it for 2 years now. I thought I was in love. But, if I add up all the bills for it, its really not worth the hassle anymore. Its repair after repair. So, what are ya'll opinion?

My opinion is that if you want a trouble free Discovery I've got a real nice '94 with adventure rack, work light, and brush bar. 1994 for 1994 what do you say? Straight across trade??

Com'on!

The 2002 DII Does not come with a CDL nipple on the transfer case so if you plan on using it offroad you may want to look at a early 2001 DII or wait and see if they bring the CDL back.

Phillip,
I have put well over 3k in repairs the last year and half. Plus, I still have to fix oil pan leak, leak where the oil filter is,transfer case leak, power steering leak, replace throw out bearing, etc. Its getting old.

David,
I trust that 3K wasn't spent at the dealer....

That would be a waste.

3k wasnt at the dealer, one of our club member is a mechanic. I have 63k on it now, I got it with 45k. If I ever got another 90 it definately would be a 97 automatic.I am driving a disco II right now as a daily driver and I like the automatic, since I work for ups and I have to drive a standard all day at work and my 90. I am looking at '02 Kalahari.

I'll give you $500 and a half bottle of Wild Turkey 101. What do you say???

Honestly, oil leaks are your best friend and a big part of the LR experience -- as long as you have leaks you know you haven't run dry. Now if you have electrical gremlins, that's another story...
