Just went to move 1996 D1 and I cannot get it of Park. Do the brake lights have anything to do with it because they are not working.Anything that I can check fuse or whatever also can I disable it until I can get the parts needed. Idont know if this matters but I had the car washed several hours ago,I am up in New York and it is really cold..Please somebody help I have to move the car. |

Brake lights do have something to do with it. Check the fuses first. If all the fuses are good just mash down fast and hard on the brake pedal and hold it while trying to shift out of park. Alot of them are the brake light switch being out of adjustment. Kyle "Blow me"

Thanks man just came back in from the cold. I pressed down on the brake pedal and moved the button on the switch in and out several times with my finger now it is fine.Must have been the lube on the plunger was cold and the button hung up.I think I will have to buy a switch to have just in case. |
