I've got a Magellan Meridian Platnium GPS and have a couple questions.
1. Is the Topo map software worth the money when it come to offroad/ trail use? I know most regular maps are outdated when it comes to trails and such. Is the software the same way?
2. Is th Map Send Gold software drastically better than the regular Map Send? The Garmin has software that is so specific it will tell you where the next Burger King is. Does Magellan have that anywhere?

Thanks.

A stab at 1): I don't specifically know about Magellan's software, but, almost all of the software maps out there are being generated out of Tiger databases and existing maps being converted into digital; unfortunately, we're not yet to the point of mapdata being updated in realtime as it becomes available.

Don't know about 2....
