Hi All,

I am about to replace my Cruise Control ECU in my 95 RRC (LWB). I believe on the Disco I it is located behind the glave box and on earlier RR's, it is behind the facia next to or underneith the steering wheel. What I am not sure of is which of these two locations is this ECU located on a 95RR Classic? I've gotten a number of different responses.

**In addition, the reason I am replacing my Cruise Control ECU (a used one from a Disco I)is my cruise contol (on my 95 RR Classic) is intermitant. Sometimes it will work just fine and other times just cut out. When it does cut out, sometimes I can get it to come on again immediately, sometimes not. I've changed most of the hoses, but that didn't seem to be the problem. I know there is the purge valve on the brake pedal (do these generally go bad?)and of couse the vacumn itself, but some have suggested if intermitant, then if not the hoses, it is the Cruise ECU. One last thing, I've read a bit about the cruise control "spiral cassette" on the steering wheel. Don't know if this ever goes bad but one thing I have noticed is that when I turn the steering wheel I hear a somewhat faint rachet sound. Could this be the spirall cassette unwinding etc? I don't know what purpose this cassette plays (no pun intended) in controling the cruise control. Thanks!
