Heater core replacement?? I got the center section of the dash out, whats next?? This is a real PITA!! |

Steve, Use the manual. I did mine about a month ago. It is a *major* ordeal replacing the core. There are a lot of things to remove (the entire dash) before you can get to the core. You might want to go ahead and replace the pipes as well (about $100 from DAP) Mine had rotted out requiring my ordeal. You have to take everything out to replace them, and it's not a job you want to do twice. Also, rig up something to pressure test the new core/pipes unit once the pipes are attached. You don't want to find a leak after you have it all back together. Also, I coated the o-rings in the pipe to core conenction with ultra temp silicone, just for a little added "feel good" The only special tool you will need is a torx driver for the airbag bolts. I don't remember the size, I just bought a set from Sears. If you need, I can find the exact size. |

Oh...mine is a 95, but I would think the SII's wouldn't be that different. |
