If you look at the radio there are two tiny flaps on each side under them is an allen looking screw. You really need a special tool to screw them in to release the radio. you just might be able to do it with an allen that just fits |

If it's on a D1, I just took mine out yesterday. There are two holes, one on each side of the stereo, take a 2mm allen wrench or a jewlers flattip screwdriver and loosen them. They won't come all the way out but once you back them off a bit them the stereo will slide out. Be carefull not to strip them out as they are made of brass (really soft). Hope this helps. |

Just a FYI, I thought they needed a special radio tool, but I was wrong. It seems my radio has been taken out a few times, and the screws are pretty much fubar. Thing is, the screws arnt tightened a whole lot, just stick an allen wrench down there that fits in the hole, apply a tad bit of pressure, and rotate counter clockwise. It'll be fairly obvious when it's ready to come out, just give it a little nudge and it slides out easily. Should take no more than 30 seconds to remove it, seriously -Jared |

You can send it in to get fixed for $100.00. The dealer should have the address to send it to. |
