I know this has probably been discussed to death... I've got a 2000 DII w/ACE and 18" rims. I want to ditch the rims and get some new tires. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what size rim, size of tire and where to get them. I would obviously like to put the largest size tire on w/o having to lift the vehicle.

Damon, 16" rims are the ones that most D2 people go to. As for tire size, I've seen mostly 245's, 255's and 265's but I think the 265's need some altering (not sure on that). The 245's and 255's should be ok but wait a bit and the D2 guys will clarify this. If you think you'll be doing a lot of road driving though, keep the 18"...ride is nicer. |

I just put 16"s on my '03 DII with 245/75-16 M/T tires. No rubbing problems even at full articulation. No modifications for the spare need either. |

On a DII 265/75-16's are the most popular and easy/cheep to get from a tire store. They will need minor modification to front bumper and to flip the tire carrier and that info can be found in the archives and tech section. That size looks real great on a DII. 18's look to bling and not touph enouph as far as I am concerned. |

Damon, I have a set of steel wheels for a DII that I'm trying to get rid of. They're the AB wheels. Shoot me an e-mail. |

no don't check out Atlantic British for wheels or tires for that matter, they are outrageously high. go to http://www.gulfcoastrovers.com/ for wheels for tires go www.tirerack.com that would be your best bet if you want to save money. If i remember correctly tires are like 200 to 250+

Damon, I also have a set of like new black steels from Atlantic British for a DII that I am looking to sell. I had a set of 245-75R16's mounted to them and used them to swap out for offroading. I used them only once at Uwharrie. I recently bought a RRC to use as a trail rig, so I don't need them anymore. I have the lug nuts also. By the way, 245/75's fit perfectly. The offset of the steels is about 1" greater than the stock wheels, so I encountered no rubbing issues. e-mail me if you are interested. I am in SC. Joe
