I was looking at two different types of long travel shocks for my range rover: The Bilstien 7100 series and the OME LTB shocks. Does anyone have experience or thoughts regarding these two brands, which better, disadvantages/ advantages. Thnx

Rumor has it that the OME LTB shocks do not offer any more travel. Everyone I know locally who put them on eventually took them off. The best long-travel shock is the Bilstein 7100 like I have. I can attest they are strong. Last weekend I accidentally jumped the truck in a sand dune. Rear wheels approximately 2 feet off the ground and the front around 4 feet. No shock damage whatsoever.

Rancho does have some longer travel shocks, but in the long run they will be replaced many times compared to the bilsteins.

My .02.
