This was a first for me... Spotted a black Rangie 4.6 very nicely trail kitted out heading North on Rt.309 just before the Rt.202 North cut off @ Noon today. Safety devices roof rack w/spare tire on it, black steel wheels, think it had a winch up front. It was additionally odd because I never really had seen one trail kitted out and earlier just today I was looking at pictures on the Roverunited.com site of the 2002 Uwharrie Safari and they have a bunch of pictures of what looked to be the very same RR. Very odd timimg so I figure I would take a stab and see if anyone knows who this might be. I'd love to get a closer look at the Rangie.

All of a sudden I really do want a RR.

My uncle has one of those, first Rover I ever drove back in '96 - let me take it up to 30 deg side angle in a mountain of dust - literally - that naturally falls into place between the fields on his farm in Eastern Oregon. You know, the type of stuff that is bone dry but that you sink 6" into when you walk on it - the RR didn't even blink, didn't even act like it was driving on anything different.

Hey Rans, Did you have your diso in for service at Main Line on Wednsday? I saw a DII that looked just like yours in one of the lots there.

Ya Know Zack,

It could nave been Randy's D2, or your D1, CVC's Defender 90, or even my pig at Main Line. But you very well know, they'll probably call Greg Parrish to come pick it up.....

I have seen that Rangie pictured above. Very Very nice.

Randy - I think you are talking about Nick from the old NY club who had a black RR. Last time I saw his RR was on that trip and it looked pretty stock.

Like I was saying, this is the first non-classic RR I have seen fixed up. It was just really strange that only earlier that same morning I was looking at pictures of the truck in the Uwharri pictures.
