Z71 Pull Number 1:
==================
Me: Are you in 4-Lo?
Z71: Uhhhh ... *click* I am now.
Me: Doh!

Z71 Pull Number 2:
==================
Z71: This just isn't my day
Me: Try to stay in the center, away from the soft curb

This was a bit more difficult since the trucks were perpendicular to one another.

Second Recovery

I didn't get any pictures of the third recovery ... I pulled him all the way out too solid ground.

My brother-in-law arrived at about this time in his Impreza OBS and decided to go where the Z71 had gone. The Scooby only got stuck once. Good driving goes along way (and a lighter vehicle).

Note to Tom:

Having a picture taken is a lot cheaper than paying for a tow truck.

I pulled an Expedition out of the snow last weekend, but no pictures to go along with it.

Always help the motorist in need.

Tom, I was discreet. Notice no faces and no license plates.

o.k., one more stupid question from me, since snow is a rarity here. it appears as though you may have chains on your tires. what is on the tires of the vehicles you recovered, some sort of tan skin for better snow traction, which doesn't seem to work so well?

Kevin,

The tan skin is mud. The tires on the truck have a road tread that just fills with mud and becomes completely slick and useless. I don't have chains, just much more aggressive tires that clear the mud out.

It also helps that I didn't get to the muddy part.

mud, huh? doh! :-) there seemed a perfect symetrical line where it went from black to brown, so i assumed some type of snowskin for the tire. once again, we don't get it much here, so you could've fed me most any line of b.s. and i would have believed it. additionally, our mud is more of a turd brown here as opposed to the creme de la muave you seem to have there, hahahaha. well, back to my dust, rocks, and tumbleweeds.
