. . . could be (and probably is) the voltage regulator; but it's part of the alternator :-(

Paul,
If you want to have the alternator tested, remove it and bring it to All-Tech in Danbury. Their phone number is 203-790-8990 and their address is 36-B Kenosia Ave. They rebuilt my alternator for $140 and it has been fine for the last 10K miles. They're near Connecticut Driveshaft which does really good work on prop shafts and axles. Let me know if want to go, maybe we can meet at that Starbucks on Mill Plain.
Cheers,
Paul

Cool beans Paul, I'll take a look at my schedual and see what it looks like, 140 bucks is alot better then five hundred for a new one. I'll get back to you.

Paul,
Did you ever get your alternator sorted out? My clutch slave cylinder went this morning. Nothing like working under the car in 15 degree weather! Hope all is well.

Hey Paul
Yeah, I think there ws just some foreign matter up in there or something like that, its fine now and I haven't touched it. Runs dead smack in the middle, oh well nothin like some lucas electrical magic for you. Yeah tell me about that weather man, last weekend was master cylinder, front pads and brake bleeding for me in the cold and some rain too. Just put a snorkel on the truck to, home made but works like a charm 100% functional, I'll have to shoot you some pics.
