Replaced the mastercylinder in the 96 disco today, used a power bleeder to run Castrol GT/LMA through. Bled each corner, starting at the furthest from the mc to the closest to the mc, until it ran clear with no air bubbles. Things are still a bit spongy. Is it simply in need of another bleeding? No leaks anywhere, stops just fine, just a bit spongy (yes, it is better if I pump) so I suspect there is air in the system.

Is that the correct procedure for bleeding, right rear, left rear, right front, left front? Factory shop manual doesn't specify.

Also, the shop manual states use a pressure of 4.5 bar or less, but the pressure bleeder I have only has psi. Any idea what 4.5 bar translates to in psi?

thanks,

jeff

Jeff-

Yes-that's the correct procedure for bleeding-Did you bench bleed new MC?

I'd try bleeding system again. :-)

1.0 bar = 1 atm = 14.7 psi so 4.5 bar = 66.15 psi
