I have a 98 discovery. About three weeks ago the central locking quit working with either the key in the door or the remote. Then last week I got in and tried to start it and the alarm went off when I turned the ignition to start. I disconnected then reconnected the battery and I was able to start it. Anyone had a similar problem? |

The central locking on US Market vehicles is controlled by the alram ecu, which is located behind the right fascia. You've got an alarm problem from the sound of it. There's not much home repair to be done on this system. If you call our offices tomorrow we could fax you the pages from the manual relating to testing and synchronization.
