Man, I hate to look like a DAN here but I need a link to that write up about relocating the CD changer to the glove box. I know I've seen it before but I can't seem to find it and the archives don't seem to be cooperating all to well with my internet connection right now. I'm starting the waterproofing project and this is definitely something that has to be moved to higher ground. |

Thanks, thats what I remember seeing but I thought it was more of a write up. Anyone have any idea of how to extend the wiring so it reaches up there?? Just splice some longer pieces into the harness I guess?? Anyone have any clue what those springs that need to be adjusted so it won't skip in the 45 degree position are?? The carpet is going to stay for now |

DAN, I'm pretty positive that extendidng the wires won't be nessacary because the glove box is alot closer to the stereo than underneath the seat. Open the Cd Changer up an look around it would probably be pretty easy to figure out what to fuck with to make it work right. BTW nothing turns off chicks like the smell of mildew from getting your carpets and seats soaked. |

yeah, last time I looked at it all the wires were bundled in pretty tight with the ones for the seats and what-not I guess I can rip everything apart and run them back the other way though. |

the plan is to seal everything up so water doesn't get on the carpet in the first place....... But if it does it's rhino liner time |

Carpet who the fuck needs it for 4 wheelin! I wouldn't even think about splicing the cd changer wire as I recall it contains somewhere between 5-10 wires on the inside plus copper wire that is wrapped around those wires. It would be the hugest PITA. There's nothing wrong with doing it right but Don't be one of those college kids who installed a cd player and has wires hangin all over the passenger's feet and wires getting all tangled up in the pedals. LOL I have seen it and I just want to smack the shit out of them |
