Okay... hope i'm not opening the flood gates, but i have a winch question... basically Electric vs hydraulic A) will a mile marker hydraulic fit in an ARB D1 style bumper... if the answer is NO then the next question is mute.... B) which is better Hyd or ele. the reason i ask is i have seen an ele winch fail when it was needed. the owner said it was a soloniod problem. on top of that it had happened befor... this leads me to believe that hydraulic "may" be better?!?!

Ken, Take a look in the archives, there are many many write-ups about this, some of them particularly heated. Then let us know what kind of terrain you might encounter (always dry, always wet, mixed, etc) and how technical you are for the install. There is, as far as I know, no useful document about installing a milemarker on a disco, although I am preparing one myself that I will hopefully post up here in a few days. |
