Finally got around to installing the bumper I picked up from Greg (back in November) this past weekend and thought I'd share some photos. It was a little daunting to make that first cut on the quarter panel with the cut-off wheel, but it turned out great. Greg does a wonderful job on these things and I would highly recommend it to anyone considering a new replacement bumper. -Steve

Aw dude that is sweet. Of course now the only thing limiting your departure angle is your gas tank. Nevertheless, very, very sweet. I wonder if Mr. Davis does 109s!!?? Max T. I need a wee bit of armor sweet |

Prescottj, I intend to make a skid plate for the rear, but as far as the fuel lines are concerned, they're protected by a plate just like from the factory. Steve

Matt, Glad to see you got the job and look forward to seeing you up here again. We'll have to hook up with the RCH gang again and maybe hit Uwharrie a couple of times. I replaced my front cracked bumper with one from Rovertym Steve

Max, Thanks man...I'm sure Greg could probably do something for you if you pleaded with him enough. You got those CROC fliers ready for Uwharrie yet? Steve |

Gil, Good observation. Currently I don't have any reverse lights hooked up, but I'm either going to integrate some into the rear bumper or tie in to my rear work lamp (maybe add a 2nd work lamp on the left side of the rack). Steve |

Matt, My rear quarter panel is still in a ripple. I haven't had any time to work on it, but it could use a little. The paint a a lighter shade where the panels where in a ditch. I think some GS27 can take care of that. I'll keep y'all updated on the damage repair. Steve, I got the flyer made up, but then the other day I was talking to a sales rep over at LR Charlotte, and he beat me to it!! Oh well, I'll still probably put one up at the 4 Wheel Parts America over on South BLVD. But I wonder, if I put it up there, if the flyer will attract non-Rover owners to the event (i.e. some idiot). What do y'all think? Greg, That would be nice. Really all I am looking for is a pair of rock sliders (no one makes them for 109s...), two gas tank skid plates, and maybe a Defender syle steering guard. I might go as far as rear quarter panel protection but I don't know... BTW, when I say Defender steering guard, I mean something like this: http://www.roversdownsouth.com/images/d-used/SteeringProtector.jpg Basically a tube mounted to the chassis. Simple, lightweight, and can do the job. Thanks y'all!!! Max T. |

Steve--your Disco looks great!!!I'm looking forward to the move. As far as the reverse lights, look into the one from PIAA. Either RN or maybe AB carries it for about $100 complete. I have one on my roofrack. It is great b/c it intergrates into you old reverse lights wiring and has a 3-way switch. You can set it so it will automatically go on when the Rover is put into reverse. They are good ad bright. I installed mine in 2 hrs and I'm a fumbeling idiot. Have you gotten to your roofrack lights? How did you do the wriring? |

I just put in a set of Blazer fog light bulbs into the rear stock back up light socket. The bulbs are 55 watts Vs. the 25 Watt stock bulb. It helped out a good deal. Total cost was 5.15 fron Advance Auto. |
