I was under the assumption one could reset the Service Engine Light on a Disco 1, by removing the sticker from the emmission remider module and sticking a paperclip or something similar down the hole. I tried this but got nowhere. The module was under the passenger dash, the hole was under the sticker. What did I miss? Is there a special order? Does the Disco have to be running? Does the module have to be removed? I have already had my 60K service done (Twice!) don't ask. Thanks for the help! CZ |

The red SERVICE ENGINE light is easy to reset. The orange CHECK ENGINE one can't be done on our own. On the red light, remove the pannel in the passenger side feet area which is attached with two pop buttons. there will be a red rectangular cube with a small green LR sticker on it. remove the red cap. and while the engine is running, place a piece of metal across the three exposed pins. The engine has to be on and once you tie the three pins together the red light will go off. hope that helps. |
