Anyone know what steel wheels will work on the new 2003 Dico?

I think that all Discos have the same lug pattern. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe any wheel that fits one Disco fits them all.

hey Rikki, check under the for sale section, greg davis has a full set for sale.

DI and DII's are different, one will not fit on the other.

DII's and DI's have completely different bolt patterns. DII is 5x120mm with 6.5" backspace. Only steel wheel currently available for the DII are the ones Atlantic British sells. I just put a set on eBay today. For a link, go to the For Sale section under "Set of DII Steel Wheels".

Discovery I and older RRC's match up as well as Series vehicles. DII's and new body RRs (95 & up) match up. I would imagine steel wheels for a DII would fit the 2003.. but I don't own one that new so I couldn't tell ya that it's a fact.

Damn, missed Robbie's post. Hey Rikki, you really enjoy your toys, don't you? Glad to have you aboard. A friend of mine just bought an H1, so I'm helping him get it ready (hehe) for off-roading.

Why would LR change the lug pattern on the D2? Is there a mechanical reason?

They went from the narrower D-90 & DI axles to the wider (4") Range Rover axles, which happened to have a different bolt pattern(?).

Greg,

Notice that the Diff on the new Rangie (the Non-IFS/IRS truck) is situated toward the (American) driver side. Then look under a D2 and notice that the diff is in the same place.....

strange...

Rikki,
DI wheels and DII wheels are different!

For your DII it will be hard to find steel wheels depending on what kind of look you are going for. The LR wheel has an odd offset. It takes what is a typical front-wheel-drive style offset (the lug holes are way to the outside of the rim) with a truck lug pattern. Very few people make them. If you get a more "standard" steel wheel (like what is for sale on DiscoWeb.org) your wheels will stick out about 2-3" further than stock. Depending on how you use the vehicle and what the rest of the truck set-up is (lift-wise), you may have tire rubbing problems.

British Pacific has steel wheels for around $100 each. You should also contact Tina at trekoutfitters.com, she is also going to be getting some steel wheels and I think she will be less expansive.

The spares found in 95-96 range rover 4.0s are the best steel wheels available for DII as they are the only ones (AFAIK) that have the double bead common to land rover rims.

03 DIIs have the same bolt pattern as 99-02 DIIs
