I am going to buy the Rovertym 2" lift kit they sell. Which includes RTE 2" springs,OME HD Shocks, spring retainers, Extended rear brake lines. Is there anything else that I should get outside of this list to get. I just don't want to leave anything out.
Thanks
Chris Marcel

Just some tool recommendations:

Go to Sears and pick up some of those Craftsman closed-end wrenches with the ratcheting mechanism. It will make removing the front shocks easier (where they bolt up to the axle).

Also, Craftsman makes a funky wrench with an adjustable, flexible strap on it...kinda like an oil-filter wrench. These may make gripping the front and rear shocks easier when loosening and tightening the stud-mounted nuts.

A little spendy on the wrenches...but lifetime warranty!?! It will certainly decrease the number of people needed to curse Rover's name while swapping out the components!

I have those flexible strap thingys, they are great! I tried to e-mail the guy at rovertym about any other things I might need to add that are not included, but he didn't say anything about it. The only thing I can think of is a new steering stablizer...Anything else.

I found that the kit was very good. Springs, shock mounts, shocks, Cones, rear links, front radius arms, ETC. John at RTE is good.
Thanks,
James

About how long did it take you all to install these? How simple/difficult was it?

Also with the 2" lift, I will be getting 265/75/16 tires and have heard that to fit those you have to also trim part of the plastic rocker panel. Anyone have to do this? By the way, were the instruction provided by Rovertym sufficent enought to install it easily?

Thanks
Marcel

The kit is simple to install. I did mine by my self in about 4 hours, but my front shocks came off easy. As far as additional parts the only thing I regret not getting is the 3" lift. 265's may fit, im not sure. I'm putting 265's on mine but I have also added D2 fender flares. The stock 235's still look OK with the 2" lift.
