I was wondering how much noise comes into play when adding an aftermarket roof rack? Any help or feedback will be appreciated.

well my Atlantic British rack, whistled relentlessly, but if you throw a tire up there, or lights it'll stop.

I threw an old worn out 32 up there from the tire shop and it stopped.

Brandon - I have the LR adventure rack (stock on my XD). It is noisy and causes quite a bit of drag.

If you use it to carry all your gear like I use mine, the noise and or drag factor are worth it.

Very loud, especially with sunroofs. Open or closed - doesn't matter.

Don't forget, in addition to being noisy it will also hurt your MPG, and at $2 a gallon you might worry about your wallet in addition to the noise!

FYI - I had a Yakima megawarrior on my 88RRC.

Mine was noisy and vibrated like a muthah!

I put a Thule wind screen on it, and it stopped. I also get the same mpg with it on or off, now.

Check my photo gallery to see how it looks.

Noisy, noisy, noisy. As others have said, putting lights across the front does cut down on the noise. It will also limit the number of parking garages in which you can park. Around here (Philly suburbs), it knocks you out of every area garage.

Greg, I think the Thule wind screen looks great, especially w/ the large logo sticker (it looks "official"). How easy was it to mount? Also, were you able to buy it seperately or did you have to scavenge it off of a Thule rack (I don't have any of my catalogs at hand)?
